- Hi, I just wanted to write and say how much we enjoyed our recent guided tours with Brian.
Our first tour was of Ancient Rome, taking in the palatine and colloseum and the second was of Vatican City.
With each tour Brian enthralled us with his knowledge,
not just of buildings and their creators but, of life in
those times. His delivery was both informative and entertaining. Brian was able to answer every question thrown at
him and boy was there plenty of questions! We never felt rushed and sensed that he was ejoying the tour as much
as we did. Thanks Brian you brought ancient Rome to life for us.
In addition, Brian was also a fountain of knowledge on the piazzas, where best to eat, why there aren't many Ferraris in Rome etc etc.
Brian, when we return we want we want you to show us the catcombs etc.
Thanks again for two superb tours.

walking tours of Rome. Brian did a fantastic job,
put the same enthusiam into each tour, was obviously
passionate about Rome and it's history, and made us
feel as if we "had gone back in time". Having
gone to many countries where the local guides have
been impersonal and "going through the motions"
Brian has left us with a lot of knowledge we didn't
hitherto have, and memories of a wonderful holiday.

- What a fantastic way to see Rome!!! Never again
will I visit a foreign country / city without booking
a english speaking, local living tour guide. Brian
was absolutely fantastic - funny, accomodating and
most importantly incredibly knowledgeable in the history
of each place we visited. In my fast & furious
3 day tour of Rome, I did all three walking tours
and really feel I got to know Rome incredibly well.

- We just wanted to thank Richard for a fantastic tour of Ancient Rome on 23rd
August. He was incredibly knowledgeable, had a great sense of humour and
really bought the Roman Forum and the Colosseum to life. He was also able
to give us plenty of tips and advice about other areas to visit and we took
his advice about a trip to Frascati and thoroughly enjoyed it - great food
and great wine!! We didn't pass Ostia Antica by either without a visit (on
Richard's advice) and that was a great day out too!

- Can we just thank you for two wonderful tours with Brian.
We did the Roman Candle Night Tour on the evening of our
arrival and the Vatican City Tour the next day. These two
tours really gave us the opportunity to maximise the benefit
of our short stay in Rome. Not only did we get the tour, but
Brian was able to recommend other things we could do during our
stay, and give us tips and hints on getting the best out of our
time. The experience was more like being shown the sights by a
witty and knowledgeable old friend, rather than impersonal tours!
I will be recommending Roman Candle Tours to my friends.

- I just wanted to send you a note regarding our Vatican Tour with Brian. He was/is
terrific - his easy knowledge and friendly approach was greatly appreciated. He connected
many of the artworks on the tour to the time and personalities involved. A particular
highlight was tying the Belvedere Torso of Hercules to Rodin's sculpture, the Thinker.
We had just been in Paris and visited the Rodin Museum and our three sons immediately
realized, once Brian challenged them, that this statue was its basis.

- My husband and I took the Vatican City tour on Friday, April 18. We have not stopped raving about it!
It was, without question, the highlight of our entire trip. The information that was given was staggering.
Not only do I feel that I was taught about the history of Roman Catholicism, I feel that we were given a
crash course in art history. My husband and I enthusiastically discuss all that we learned and have shared
many of your stories with our friends and family. If we were returning to Rome tomorrow, we would sign up
for your tour again. We have several family members who are coming to Italy in the coming months and we have

- Was unsure if tour guides were really necessary somewhere
where you literally fall over history on every corner, we had
a good guide book but when we over heard one of your guides
finishing his tour of the Vatican it seemed he really made
everything come to life for the group. When I approached Chad
he had helped me book tours for the following days. Now I see
that with explanations, stories and a historical context,
everything is so much much more enjoyable. He was
full of tips on what to do (and what not to do) in the city!

- Our Guide was so knowledgeable about everything
including the "hot spots" to hit up in Rome. We took
the tour of the Colosseum, I have never been that
all into tours and this one was incredible!!! He was
very informative and most of all entertaining. We

- Wow, we have just returned back to Canada and we
still cannot stop talking about all of the different
things we have learned when we were with you. Micheal
was amazing in the Ancient City and Matthew kept me
in aw touring the Vatican. The two tours tied up Ancient
and Renaissance perfectly leaving me with a good base
as to the history of Rome (I know I still have a lot
to learn). I have been teaching for 15years and have
taken many different tours, the ones in Rome were by far
the best. I hope to return so I can join your night tour. I
