RCT logoVatican City Tour

The Vatican City is one of the smallest countries in the world and holds within its walls the famous Vatican Museums, a collection of art and artifacts from every period of history; from the ancient civilizations to contemporary works.

Our Vatican tour guide will walk through the apartments and palaces of the most powerful men of their time, surrounded by work of the greatest artists of their time such as Raphael, Michelangelo and Bernini.

Beginning first in the Greek and Roman Statuary Collection we see pieces dating back from the 3rd century BC before continuing on to the Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries then into the Old Papal Apartments. These rooms are not only famous because past Popes once laid their head here, but due to the fact that the walls are covered in Raphael's beautiful paintings.

Entering the Sistine Chapel, we cover every wall in detail so that you know exactly what your looking and the stress Michelangelo went through to paint it. After some time is spent sitting back to enjoy the view, we continue on.

Exiting the Sistine Chapel we end directly in front of St. Peter's Basilica; the largest church in the world! Learn about the legends and facts behind the death of St. Peter, the Basilica itself as well as the gigantic St. Peter's Square. After the tour, you will have free time to go inside St Peter's Basilica (with NO LINES), climb the dome or head down below to see the tombs of past Popes.

The Vatican is covered with majesty and mystery, the best way to reveal such a place is with a Roman Candle Guide.
